Dear Colleagues,

Following up on successful International Conference on Communication in Healthcare (ICCH) meetings in Bruges, Belgium (2004); Chicago (2005); and Basle, Switzerland (2006); Charleston, South Carolina will host the next International Conference on Communication in Healthcare and AACH Forum 2007 at The Historic Francis Marion Hotel.

With more than three hundred and fifty years of history, Charleston offers best in entertainment and culture with numerous opportunities to visit the historical sites, pristine beaches, theater, museums along with many recreational activities like golfing, cruises, shopping and much more.

ICCH is jointly sponsored by the American Academy on Communication in Healthcare (AACH), European Association on Communication in Healthcare (EACH), Northwestern's Center for Communication and Medicine (CCM), and Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).

This is the largest gathering of researchers, educators and administrators from around the globe to focus on improving the patient-provider relationship and communication in healthcare. The multi-disciplinary nature of conference delegates encourages the integration of perspectives, theory, practice, and innovation. The 2007 conference will encourage networking among participants, and try to bring together:

• People with different types of expertise

The conference will start on the evening of Tuesday 9 October, 2007 and close in the afternoon of Friday 12 October, 2007. This will be a great opportunity for faculty and students to present their work and/or interact with expert researchers and educators with different conceptual backgrounds from around the world in the field of communication.
