Starting Jan. 1, 2012, three new board members will begin their terms on the AACH Board of Directors.
Denise L. Davis, MD, is faculty in General
Internal Medicine at the San Francisco Veteran's Administration Medical Center
and Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. She previously worked for
20 years in private practice in general internal medicine.
Paulette
Seymour-Route, PhD, MS, RN, is Dean of the Graduate School of Nursing at UMass
Medical School in Worcester, Mass.
Somnath Saha, MD,
MPH, is Associate Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University
and Staff Physician at Portland VA Medical Center.
Som has been elected as the VP, Research and will serve on the Executive
Committee.

At the end of the year, the AACH Board will also say goodbye to two members who
have completed their terms. Our sincere thanks and appreciation go out to Board
Chair Gregory Makoul, PhD, and Vice President – Research Shakaib Rehman, MD,
FAACH, for sharing their leadership, talents and countless hours of their time
with the Academy.
