Materials for application to the Facilitator Training Program should be submitted to one of the co-directors - Krista Hirschmann, Ph.D., or Denise L. Davis, MD - at least two weeks prior to the FDC meeting that will include consideration of your application. The FDC generally meets monthly. You will be notified as to the results of that meeting within two weeks. If accepted, you will receive any feedback from the committee about your application, as well as a letter of agreement to sign (Appendix VII) and a list of available guides to choose from if you have not already done so. If not accepted, you will be given recommendations for additions or revisions to your application and an invitation to resubmit your application.
Tuition:
You will receive your first tuition invoice shortly after you are notified about your acceptance into the program. The cost of tuition for the FIT Program is $1500 per year, with a cap of $5000. First year tuition ($1,500) is billed if accepted into the program between January to June; $750 will be billed if accepted in the second half of the year. If accepted in the second half of the year, please plan for a bill of $750 in your third year to complete the yearly tuition of $1500. If your training extends past three years, another $500 will be billed reaching the maximum tuition. However, you should also plan each year for the costs of the Winter Training Course and the ENRICH Course, with related travel expenses. An estimate of yearly expenses would be roughly $4500 per year for FIT I, and $4000 per year for FIT II.
